Why We Created the Online Teacher Awards

The Online Teacher Awards were born out of a simple but powerful idea: teachers who lead in digital education deserve to be recognized on the world stage.

Over the past several years, our team has been deeply involved in online teaching—developing courses, supporting students, and helping schools and organizations adapt to digital learning. We’ve seen firsthand the creativity, resilience, and dedication it takes to make online education truly effective.

The Gap We Saw

While there are many awards for teaching in general, few focus specifically on the unique challenges and opportunities of online and blended learning. Online educators often innovate quietly, balancing technology, pedagogy, and human connection in ways that transform education—but their work too often goes unseen.
