Hello, my name is Kizzi Nkwocha, and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Online Teacher Awards.
I created these awards because I believe that online teachers deserve to be celebrated, recognised, and honoured for the extraordinary impact they have on people’s lives. Teaching online is not always easy. It requires patience, creativity, resilience, and—above all—a deep commitment to helping others succeed. Yet too often, online educators work tirelessly behind a screen without ever receiving the recognition they truly deserve.
This award is my way of changing that.

My own journey as an online English language tutor opened my eyes to the power of virtual teaching. I have had the privilege of working with learners from every corner of the globe, helping them find confidence and joy in expressing themselves in English. What struck me most was how online teaching breaks down barriers—cultural, geographical, and even personal. It creates opportunities for people who may never have had access to traditional education.
That’s why the Online Teacher Awards are so important. They’re not just about acknowledging excellence in teaching; they’re about celebrating connection, transformation, and possibility.
A little about me: I was once a refugee of the Nigeria–Biafra war, who later built a life in the UK as a journalist, publicist, and publisher. Over the years, I’ve created and published several respected titles including Business Game Changer Magazine, The Property Investor, Money and Finance Magazine, The UK Newspaper, Kizzi’s AI Report, This is Semiconductor, and Kizzi’s Robot Magazine. I’ve also had the honour of representing organisations and individuals as diverse as Amnesty International and the King of Uganda, and have hosted radio and TV shows where I’ve interviewed some of the most innovative thinkers and leaders of our time.
But of all the things I’ve done, teaching online has brought me some of the deepest satisfaction. Because teaching is about more than lessons. It’s about unlocking potential. It’s about giving someone the courage to speak, to share, to connect.

The Online Teacher Awards were created to honour this work—and to shine a spotlight on the teachers who go above and beyond to inspire their students. Each year, we will showcase the Top 10 Online Teachers in the World, highlighting the creativity, dedication, and impact of educators who are making a difference.
Whether you’re nominating yourself, a colleague, or a friend, you’re taking part in something bigger: a movement to give online teachers the recognition they’ve earned and the platform they deserve.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Together, let’s celebrate the incredible people who are shaping the future of education—one online lesson at a time.

What the Online Teacher Awards Is
The Online Teacher Awards is a global celebration of excellence in online education. Each year, it recognises and showcases the top ten online teachers across every discipline, from every corner of the world. These awards shine a spotlight on educators who are setting the standard for innovation, impact, and inspiration in the digital classroom.
Winning teachers don’t just receive recognition—they gain a platform. Each honouree is awarded an official certificate of achievement and an exclusive badge to display on their website, symbolising their status as a leader in online education. Their work and story are also shared on the Online Teacher Awards website, giving them visibility within a global community of learners and educators.
In addition, winners are invited to share their journey on the acclaimed podcast Kizzi’s Friday Game Changers, where they join other trailblazers in discussing how they’ve transformed the learning experience for students worldwide.
The Online Teacher Awards is more than an accolade—it’s a movement to honour those who elevate education, inspire learners, and prove that world-class teaching knows no boundaries.
